Child Care Professionals

Camp Fire promotes the growth and development of young children (0-5) by helping improve the quality of child care in Texas. The quality of child care significantly influences children’s early learning and development. This means that child care providers need to have the skills, knowledge, and resources to properly meet the social-emotional, physical health and educational needs of young children. Children benefit from highly-skilled child care providers by being better prepared for success in school and as future members of the workforce.

In order to help children develop to their full potential, Camp Fire offers an array of services to child care providers to support them in meeting the individual needs of children and families, including:

  • More than 100 workshops on early care and education topics
  • Onsite mentoring and training for child care centers and family home providers
  • Child Development Associate credential and director certification programs
  • Nutrition education and food subsidies for family home providers
  • CPR, First Aid and Pre-Service Classes

Working closely with the community to build high quality early care and education environments, Camp Fire is helping maximize opportunities for young children to succeed in school and beyond.
